Levis Onegi

Levis Onegi is the African Transitional Justice Research Network regional coordinator for the Great Lakes and the coordina- tor of the Institute for African Transitional Justice, based at Makerere University's Refugee Law Project. Levis holds a BA (Honours) in political science and public administration from Makerere University, and a master’s in public administration. He is currently a pre-doctoral candidate at the African Centre for Migration and Society (ACMS), University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. He previously worked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Uganda, Sudan, Eritrea and Ethiopia. He has also worked with the Jesuit Refugee Services in Uganda and Southern Sudan. His research interest broadly focuses on migration, community, identity and conflict analysis.
